The Kids Zone is back and BETTER than ever — packed with fun activities, games, and memories your kids will be talking about all summer long. Southwood Elementary School and Southwood Elementary PTO will host Fun Day for Southwood Scholars on Friday, May 29, 2026. This event will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. There will be lots of fun & games and free hot dogs, chips, and drinks for scholars. There will also be a PTO fundraiser of nachos and a drink for $5.00.

Join us as we recognize our amazing scholars for all their hard work and achievements at our upcoming End of the Year Awards Assemblies. Both assemblies will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. First, Second, and Third grade scholars' assembly will be held at 9:00 a.m., and Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth grade scholars' awards assembly will be held at 1:30 p.m. We are proud of our scholars and look forward to celebrating with you!
The Pine Bluff School District will observe Memorial Day beginning Thursday, May 21st through Tuesday, May 26th. Classes will resume on Wednesday, May 27th. Students' last day of school will be Friday, June 5th.
