Arbor Day

Broadmoor Family,

Monday marks a major moment for our 5th and 6th-grade scholars as we begin ATLAS Testing. There may be a mix of excitement and nerves—and that’s okay. This is the time for our upper-grade scholars to rise and show what they know. You have put in the work—now it’s time to execute.

Scholars, remember:

You are more than a test score
Prove to yourself that you are a high-performing, achieving scholar
You can do anything you set your mind to
Choose excellence in every moment

Parents of 5th- and 6th-grade scholars, your support is critical. These assessments matter as our scholars prepare for the next level. Let’s stay focused and locked in for success.

Ways to support your scholar this week:

Encourage them daily
Ensure they arrive on time (7:30 AM, no later than 8:00 AM)
Speak life and positivity into them
Remind them to stay focused and give their very best

Together, we will continue building our #BlueprintforExcellence and showing #TheeStandard at Broadmoor Elementary.

Let’s finish strong 💙🧡

update
Today Broadmoor Elementary School was proud to host the Books & Barbers community initiative, founded by Nikita Richardson-Lowe, Founder of RichKrew Inc. ✂️📚

Under the leadership of Principal Tim Scott and Assistant Principal Teresa Farver, students received free haircuts while also selecting books to take home, promoting both confidence and literacy.

This year marks the 5th year of the Books & Barbers initiative, which continues to positively impact students across Pine Bluff by bringing together barbers, volunteers, and community partners who are committed to supporting our youth.

Thank you to Nikita Richardson-Lowe, RichKrew Inc., the participating barbers, volunteers, and community partners who helped make today a meaningful experience for our Broadmoor students.
