The PBSD Engagement Team & Parent Facilitators are taking part in a two-day Apptegy School CEO workshop, gaining tools in branding, marketing, and communication to better connect with our parents, students, and community.


Pine Bluff School District – Showing Our Stripes Awards
The Pine Bluff School District proudly recognizes this month’s “Showing Our Stripes” Award recipients for their outstanding contributions to our schools and community.
Students: Kaleigh Horn and Jayden Scott were honored for being supportive peers and demonstrating kindness toward their fellow classmates.
Staff: Connie Jackson and Deborah Thomas were celebrated for their leadership and dedication as parent facilitators, yearbook sponsors, and building test coordinators.
Community: Pine Bluff Mission was recognized for donating snacks to our students, and the Divine Dancers of the Delta were commended for their generous donation of more than 500 personal hygiene items.
We are grateful for the positive impact each of these honorees has made in helping our students and schools thrive.

The PBSD will hold its monthly board meeting tonight at 6:30 pm at the Jordan Chaney Administration Building.
Superintendent Jennifer Barbaree was honored to join the ribbon-cutting for the Merrill Historical Museum! 🎉 Thanks to the Merrill Restoration Alliance, Inc. for preserving the rich history and lasting legacy of Merrill High School.








We proudly inducted outstanding students into the National Honor Society. Each inductee was recognized for demonstrating the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, leadership, service, and character. This ceremony marked not only their academic excellence but also their commitment to making a positive impact in our school and community.

2022 PBHS graduate Antonio Love is making us proud with the world-renowned Jackson State Sonic Boom of the South! 🎶🔥
Now a senior, Antonio is majoring in Civil Engineering while entering his 4th year with the band. We first highlighted him as a freshman, and it’s incredible to see how far he’s come , performing, traveling, and representing Pine Bluff High and Pine Bluff, Arkansas on big stages.
👏 Big shoutout to Mr. Love for continuing to set the standard and carry that Zebra pride worldwide!

Labor Day Break!

SCHOOL UPDATE:
The Robert F. Morehead campus will be open for school tomorrow. Classes will resume on the regular schedule. Safety teams have cleared the building, and we are ready to welcome students back.

Robert F. Morehead students are being dismissed now due to a gas leak. Bus students are currently being transported home and car riders will need to be checked out at the 9th grade office as soon as possible. This only affects the students that attend Robert F. Morehead.
As of 10:30 am, the Robert F. Morehead Campus is closed due to a gas leak. Out of an abundance of caution, the 7th and 8th grade students were relocated to the 9th Grade Academy prior to the beginning of school.
Students who are bus riders will be transported home as soon as possible. If your child is a car rider, please check them out at the 9th grade office.
Updates will be provided as they become available. The decision regarding the 7th and 8th grade building being open for tomorrow has not been made.
