I wanted to take a moment to speak with you about something very difficult that has happened in our school community. This past Saturday, we experienced the loss of one of our beloved teachers, Mrs. Debra McNeely. This news has been incredibly hard for all of us, and we know it will also be difficult for many of our scholars who knew and loved her.
We want you to know that counselors will be on hand throughout the week to support any scholar who may need to talk, process their feelings, or simply have a quiet space. Our staff has also been guided on how to support students who may experience grief in different ways.
We encourage you to talk with your child at home as well. If you notice any changes in their mood, sleep, or behavior, please reach out to us. We are here to partner with you.
We know this is a lot for our school family to take in, but we will get through it together. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like additional support for your child, please do not hesitate to contact us.
